The Rangers Supporters Club of Calgary was formed in 2000. Previously to this, Rangers fans in Calgary were at the mercy of another unmentionable Glasgow team when wanting to see their famous red, white and blue heroes perform. It was after a number of years of this accommodation that we decided it was time to leave and form our own supporters club. In order to get the club started, (19) Nineteen “Charter” members donated $100.00 each to facilitate the procurement of the satellite equipment required to view the games and become associated with NARSA. One of the problems that faced us was to find an establishment that would allow the viewing of the games, knowing the timing of the majority was never going to fit in with Calgary’s licensing laws. Up stepped the Drum & Monkey to provide us with this service and we have been very grateful to them for affording us their establishment. 2010 marks the 10-year anniversary of RSCC – a significant and proud milestone in our history.
